Obsessing over fic titles again. There's always one working title that springs to mind, and usually sticks with the fic, even where it's ultimately released under a different title. This one will forever be 'Tenebris', I think. But I don't exactly want a Latin title, and I don't want a noun for a title, and I keep getting distracted by how pretty Ecclesiastes 3 is, but short of using the entire verse as a title, I can't adequately capture everything that I want to capture.
And then there's the question of whether I use In Tenebris, thus referencing Thomas Hardy's poem of the same name (very apt), or whether I use a line from that one (This Season as of Old), or whether I use E Tenebris, hence referencing Oscar Wilde's poem of the same name (For I am drowning on a stormier sea - also very apt), but cf I don't particularly want a Latin title (pretentious, much?). Then it became something about Satellites, and Circle Around the Sun, which naturally conjured up Rings Around the Sun, which of course brings to mind Rings of Saturn, which is getting off point...
...This would all be a lot more efficient if I spent all this brain power actually writing.
